Terry Burtz

Terry Burtz bought his first Model AA Ford truck in 1962 that was used for firewood delivery and in the fireworks business for the 4th of July.

Terry is a retired mechanical design engineer whose career was working for Lockheed where he designed mechanisms for spacecraft, land, surface, and underwater vehicles, and commuter trains. He was the lead engineer on many multi-million-dollar projects.

Terry and his wife Nadia own several Model A Fords including the AA truck, a 35-B Phaeton, a 40-B Roadster, an 82-B Closed cab pickup, a 76-B Open cab pickup, and a 160-C Fordor Sedan.

Terry is a MAFCA/MARC blue point judge and has judged at several national conventions.

Terry has manufactured and sold Model A parts to retail parts dealers since 1976. After retirement, Terry saw so many things wrong with the original design of the Model A engine and knew that he could improve the design while keeping the exterior original in appearance. The result is the "New Engine".
